Does anyone want a pair of Moda black patterned tights in X2? I picked them up, brought them home and tried them on, but they don't fit. :( They are a lovely triangle/"diagonal strokes" pattern, and retail for $10. They are not opaque tights but are more like stockings.

(For reference I'm a pair-shaped 22 on the bottom and couldn't get them all the way up my legs, so if you've lovely legs you might have better luck.) The details on the back: up to 185cm height, up to 110kg, up to 135cm hip size.

Reply or leave a message if interested. $6 plus a couple of dollars for postage sound good? I like non-CC paypal but direct deposit is cool too. :)

Selling on oz fats?

just wanted to check if selling is allowed on fatshionista_oz? I've got a few clothes in good condition that aren't being worn (some NWTS) and I'd like to sell them but I'm conscious that the cost of postage of off-putting to those in the Northern Hemisphere. Also the lack of clothing over here makes me want to give Aussies first dibs.

Just let me know either way,

Possible Forever 21 and/or Disney Group Order?

So the few items I'm interested in buying from forever21 are going to cost me $48 to get shipped and was wondering if anyone wanted to order anything and split shipping with me? I have feedback on a number of sites inclduing ebay. I've never done a GO before (but have participated) I'm not wanting to make it a huge thing - just if you, like me, want a few items but don't want a huge postage cost. I'm also interested in ordering some stuff from Disneystore.com so there's that to consider too. I've not bought from forvever 21 before but I have bought from Disney before. If you are interested send me a PM and maybe we can figure something out :)

Hi Fellow Aussie Fats :)

A friend of mine had a horrid experience yesterday, when the owner of the beauty salon she has been frequenting for some time rang her ahead of her booked appointment for a brazillian wax to tell her that they would be charging her 50% extra on top of the regular fee because she's fat.

In response, Kelli Jean has started an online petition to boycott the salon, and so I am posting it here in the hopes that some of you may sign in solidarity, particularly if you are Sydney-based (and if you ARE Sydney-based, put this salon on your "never visit" list).

Ironically, the first page of their website claims "What Glow Girl offers is a down-to-earth spirit that allows everyone to get what they need without attitute. We do the whole 'princess' thing with fabulous style, but also like to have a laugh and always make both men and women to feel comfortable."

Hardly compatible with their body shaming and covert racism, not to mention the owner being rude and aggressive on the phone, as well as divulging personal information about a client without thier consent. To quote Kelli Jean "they picked on the wrong fat girl!".

We the undersigned state that we are offended and outraged by Glow Girls Day Spa's (located at 208 Australia Street Newtown) policy to charge 50% more for treatments of people who have larger bodies or have more hair then their "usual" clients.

We believe your policy to charge extra to people of difference or who you deem as "difficult " clients based solely on their body shape is blatant size discrimination and racist considering some ethnicities are naturally more hirsute than others.

It is unlawful and socially unacceptable to discriminate or indeed to treat some one differently because of their body size, race or culture. To discriminate on the basis of a racialised stereotype is also unacceptable. Your policy decision to charge larger people more for a brazilian is shaming and unnecessarily judgemental. This policy is based on ignorance and we will no longer support your business and its problematic attitudes.

We also do not condone the aggressive and abusive way in which you have dealt with clients calling to complain about your policy nor do we condone that you felt you had the right to discuss a clients personal information with other people without her consent.

Clients of all sizes are boycotting your business out of solidarity for people who do not conform to the requirements of you ideal clientèle.

We demand you write a written apology on your website and amend your pricing policies to not discriminate based on a persons size or level or hirsuteness.

Please consider signing the petition

Thanks for reading :)

Target jeans?

My closest Target store (Knox City, VIC) recently underwent renovations to store layout. Before, they had a long rack, double-sided, filled with plus size jeans and pants. I went in today, but the only jeans I could find were some horrible elastic-waisted straight-legged stone wash monstrosities.

Does anyone know if Target has decided to down-size their plus size department, or jsut decided to remove three quarters of their jeans, or is something else up? I've emailed head office but don't expect a reply.

In the meantime I guess I'll keep cruising ebay for jeans... :(
